This Adaptor Lets You Watch Disney+ on Your TV
This is a PSA for parents. It’s flu season, and your kids might need something new to watch. There is a nifty gadget on the market. It allows you to “screen mirror” your phone on your TV. This is a game-changer for me now that I have a year free of Disney+ with my Verizon Unlimited plan, but there’s always a fight about who gets to hold the phone.
What Is It?
It’s called a Lightning to Digital AV adapter. You plug it into your phone. It also has a port for your iPhone charger. And, of course, there is a spot for the HDMI cable to plug in. It uses a normal HDMI cable–one end goes into the TV, one goes into this adapter. It allows you to mirror anything on your phone. We are using one that we had from years ago–I’m linking it here so you can see that it’s HDMI to HDMI ends, nothing special.
What’s Next?
Because you’re using an HDMI cable, you may have to select the source (input) on your TV, depending on how many HDMI cables you have. And, it should just work–you are simply mirroring what is happening on your phone.
How Is This Beneficial?
It probably doesn’t need to be said, but this is a major win for parents in the fight over who gets to hold the phone. And, for people like us, who don\’t *really* have cable–I mean, we can watch the news, but how depressing is that–this gives you access to watch Disney+ on your TV.
But, you know what else it can do? You can take it in the car with you–if your car is now equipped with an HDMI cable. This means a lot to me, since we travel about 2,000 miles round trip twice a year.
Enjoy!
This device that’s lets you watch Disney+ on your TV? This is a hot cup of coffee. This could mean a shower for you. This is the ideal break to get started on dinner. I’m just saying, you need one of these!
