One Room Challenge: Primary Bedroom Makeover (Mood Board!)

We’re back again! It seems like I blinked, and there’s another One Room Challenge starting. Starting this challenge when I feel like I just finished the last one seems a bit daunting, but I keep chasing that feeling that at the end of 8 weeks, the space will be transformed–even if I only get 95% of it done. After all, someone has to be the president of the 95% club. It might as well be me.

The Bedroom Before

We moved into this house two years ago, and these were the photos I took on moving day…

Two things: The room has serious potential. And yes, that is a glass block wall between the bathroom and bedroom.

The Current Room

I have done very little in this space. We ordered a new window shade with top down bottom up–which is my favorite type of window covering in the bedroom. I hung curtains to hide–I mean, frame–the window. I have a comfortable chair to curl up in, and I hung some of the artwork from our previous home. But…the room needs a lot of love.

The Plan

I have big dreams for this room–pun intended. I’m actually pretty excited about this. I’m thinking black walls, beams on those vaulted ceilings, new flooring, wall moulding, new trim, painted doors, an updated fan…new furniture! And what about sconces? Always say yes to sconces 🙂

Stay Tuned!

If I’m going to do all of this, I’ve got to get going. Keep up here and over on Instagram to see the latest!
